Don't Shoot The Messenger is a game protoype made by the protoyping team of Spartasoft Studio at Michigan State University in Fall 2024.

Don’t Shoot The Messenger is about a lonely, meager tank sent to cross a battlefield by itself to deliver a message. The player, as the tank, needs to get to the message to the goal as fast as possible, but need to manage their resources and damages while doing so. Because of this, the tank is on a set course to automatically go to the endpoint while moving, but the player can control whether or not the tank moves by deciding to rest or not. The tank also has faulty mechanisms, where if enemies are detected, the tank’s weapons will start firing automatically, even if the enemies are not in target! Luckily the player can control which way weapons are pointed manually. The battlefield is covered in fog of war, and what lies beyond could be anything. Corpses, supplies, points of interests, and most dangerous, enemies. Remember, there is no backup, there is no aid, all you have is yourself. So survive, you need to.
